Ebadi brings Haleh’s case to the UN
August 6th, 2007Shirin Ebadi, Haleh Esfandiari’s lawyer, appealed to the United Nations Human Rights Council asking for Haleh’s release. She noted that Esfandiari had not only been arrested arbitrarily, but she has been denied a fair trial.
“My client has been kept in solitary confinement since May 8, is denied visits and deprived from all the rights considered for prisoners in the Iranian law,” said Ebadi
