I am glad that some members of Congress are aware of this issue. Is there a formal letter written for individuals to send to their representatives?

Please release Haleh Esfandiari immediately. She represents freedom and intelligence. Holding her illegally is inhuman..

The fact that a nation so rich in history, as Iran is, would do this disturbs me at my foundation. This is a sixty-seven year old woman that was a victim of a violent crime, and she is being held, in what I can only assume horrible conditions.
Her release should be immediate and unconditional. The fact that our political leaders in congress are addressing this matter gives me hope that she will be released. However, it does scare me because of Iran’s complete disregard for any negotiations in the past several years. Hope is what her friends can have and justice is what she, rightfullly, needs.
